well, long time nvr post...lazy me lol
still slacking away la...haha
well, o lvl results were out a week ago, and I must say, I'm quite satisfied with my results.
But then the tough part then comes in, WHICH JC?
I had 4 possibilities: NJC, AJC, TJC, NYJC
In the end, I ate back my words, and chose AJC.
Ppl ask me why I chose it...
"It's a sucky school..."
"Why nvr choose better school..."
"Why nvr stay in NY..."
So i'm gonna answer these qns now:
The reason why I never chose...
NJ: I don't want to die of extreme stress...and I don't want to be a small fish in a big pond. Not sure whether I can go in also...lack 1 pt after bonus.
TJ: A 30-min bus ride to bedok...ppl will say, "not too bad mah". But then, comparing with AJ, (i had a hard time deciding btwn tj and aj), amk just seems closer to hougang. Imagine. You're tired after school. Then you realised you are in bedok...and you will surely think "WAH LAU, HOUGANG STILL SO FAR AWAY!". But if you are in AMK, you will think, "not bad la, hougang not so far away." Furthermore, TJ is only slightly better than AJ in terms of facilities.
The distance factor was the penultimate deciding factor for me. The opportunity cost here is a better education and good food in bedok, and the chance to continue taking computing.
NY: I felt that NY was setting the pace too slow. They plan to start slow, then all of a sudden rush like siao. Furthermore, I don't like some of the teachers la...
But I will miss the wonderful facilities, the lively atmosphere there, caring and joker teachers, and all the fantastic friends i met in NY. I will also have to forgo computing upon leaving NY. Sorry, OG36 mates and CT 0730 peeps who are staying in NY...let's still keep in touch!
Why I chose:
AJ: AJC is one lifeless jc. Mugger jc. Lousy facilities.
But, I felt that AJC could give me a good education...
I chose AJ ahead of TJ, as there are more gd friends from ZHSS that will be able to help me with my work. (no la, TJ like few zhssrians...so later scared I DIE!)CCAs are more fun than NY, and dist is shorter compared to TJ.
Well, one thing's for sure...I WILL MISS NYJC SO MUCH LA...
Haiz...
But I have chosen...
And I will (hopefully) not regret my decision,
especially of forgoing NYJC and computing...
Less than 17 days left in NYJC...
I must treasure this final few moments...
I will miss the rising fountain and the graceful palm tree :(
